Wedding Wednesday: Registering

On Sunday we did something I have been looking forward to for months!
We registered!!
I feel like doing things like this makes it seem like we are actually getting close.
My first shower is NEXT MONTH!
So I was pumped and ready to start scanning.

Well let me tell you,
It is all fun and games until that little gun is in your hand.
I even made a list.
A typed out list of everything we needed to register for.
First we went to Crate and Barrel.
That was pretty much a breeze.
I got mostly kitchen stuff there, and I knew what I came for.
Once everything was crossed off the list we were out of there.

Next we went to Target.
We got more decorative things there.
Frames, Clocks, ect.
More kitchen gadgets.
And then we go to the home goods section.
You know, bath towels, bathroom sets, shower curtains.
Well, we don't know where we are living yet, and this stressed me out.
How can I pick colors and everything for a bathroom I have never seen?
I felt like I was picking out the last set of towels I would ever be allowed to buy.
I pretty much hate what I picked out and will be re-doing it.
I could have done a better job blind folded.
Needless to say,  the target pictures look something like this.
Overall though it was really fun and exciting.
I don't even think there was too much yelling.
Whoever decided that you get to tell people what to buy you
when you get married is OK in my book.

Haha when we registered we ended up not talking to each other afterwards! It was a bit stressful mainly because my husband sprung it on me because his mom wanted to take us and I hadn't had a chance to figure out what I wanted! We survived though :) I didn't even register for bathroom stuff. I didn't want to be stuck with something when I knew we would be moving the next year. We've been married 2 1/2 years and I JUST decided on a color scheme!

Haha this made my laugh mostly because it was pretty much the same as our experience registering! The first place was a breeze, but Target was a disaster! We too, don't yet have the home we plan to buy round the wedding,so I was trying to decorate a space in my head that I have never seen! This post triggered the exact same registering memories that I posted about! I have re-done our registries online about 5 times now :)
