What I am loving today!

There is something about spring and warm weather that just makes me smile.
I can't believe tomorrow is March!!
Time is FLYING!

I am loving the weather we are having today.
It is my definition of perfection.
I hope to take Cade outside after his nap!
Makes me want to sit out side and drink iced tea:)

I am loving this sweet baby
I will be so sad when I move after my wedding and wont see him almost everyday.
But I am looking forward to sleepovers at Aunt Sissy's!

I am loving TEA from Starbucks
Chai
OR
Passion
I have loved chai tea forever,
but the passion is a new find and I love them both.

Dry shampoo
Batiste dry shampoo specifically.
I have tried two other kinds before and was never impressed,
but then I heard about this and bought it and I love it.
I have the thinnest hair known to mankind(dead serious).
This stuff works wonders.
I can actually  go a day without washing my hair now.

I hope everyone is having a nice little Wednesday.
I am off to look for hostess gifts for my shower in a few weeks:)

Night blindness

I am pretty sure I have developed night blindness.
I'm really only halfway kidding.
This is a serious condition.
At first I thought it was rain blindness, and I told David many times,
that I couldn't see a thing while I was driving in the rain.
After doing more research though, I have settled on night blindness.
Tonight while I was driving home I could not see a thing.
I checked to make sure my headlights were on like 3 times.

I have never had great vision.
But not so not great that I've consistently worn glasses or contacts.
I did wear a patch for a while in the 3rd grade to correct my lazy eye.
That is not me. I was much bigger in the 3rd grade.
I don't think I have any pictures of me and my eye patch.
I'm pretty sure my parents made sure not  to take my picture with it on
in hopes that I would forget that it ever happened.
It was one of the two childhood tragedies I survived.
The other was wearing braces for  9 years.

I'm really sharing this as a public service annoucment.
I never claimed to be a good driver. Even during the day.
I dont even like driving. I would even go so far as to saying I dislike it. Ahem...Erin.
So maybe it's time to dig out the ole glasses.
Or maybe its time to take spray some windex on Black Beauty.

Happy weekend!

Is it seriously Sunday night?
Boo.
This weekend was like... non existent.
Yesterday David worked all day, and I had to babysit last night.
So basically, today was the extent of our weekend together.
Saturday lunch. Grilled cheese, and baked doritos....My fave!
Walking around the outdoor mall on a beautiful day!
My random drink of choice at Starbucks!

This is what I came home to after working Saturday night.
Brownie points for David!
Good weather on Sunday afternoon= Bud Light Lime on the patio
We went to the restaurant that our rehearsal dinner is going to be to reserve our room!
We eneded up with one of these and some nachos!
My own personal chauffeur.
I am a dork....I know:-)

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Friday Confessions.

Time for some Friday Confessions.

My first confession is that every time I write these posts...
I think of Confessions by Usher.
It is such a jam.

Moving on...

I have recently become addicted to beauty videos on YouTube.
I don't even know how i discovered them!
All it makes me want to do is buy make up and beauty products.
I love it though.
I have gotten some great products out of this.
Like dry shampoo.
I may even do my very own beauty post!
We will see.
I want this
Anyone own it?

I have a new found love for Zac Efron.
I recently saw him on Ellen with Taylor Swift.
I haven't seen much of him since High School Musical...
Which is a confession in itself(I LOVED those).
But he is seriously good looking.
It isn't even debatable.

He has a new movie coming out.
The Lucky One.
I can't wait to see it!

I have totally fallen off of the healthy eating train.
I AM getting back on.
I mean my wedding is coming up and obviously,
nobody wants to be an oopma loompa at their own wedding.
BUT, even more so, I wanna look good at the beach on my honeymoon.
Am I right or am I right?
Maybe if I actually document this, the healthy eating will find its way back to my mouth.
Amen!

I mean,  last night I had margs and mexican on my childhood bff.
Somehow our meals together always end up lasting about 3 hours.
I love it.
HI JOJO!!

Have a great weekend!!

The last 13!

Today I am doing a fun little link up!

because i read a lot in like a month.
Next on my list though
It is sitting in my room begging to be read!

The last thing I laughed at
Really laughed at?
A FUNNY remark David made last night.

The last thing I cooked
I made homemade ham and cheese kolaches, and peanut butter cookies Friday.
I made them for our road trip and they were delicious!

The last thing I baked
Umm I just answered that on accident.
Peanut butter cookies!

The last thing I crafted
It was a Valentine craft.
Pretty sure i promised to post about it and never did,
Here it is
Very cute. It was a pinterest find.

The last thing I drooled over
Clothes. I love  all of the spring dresses.
I think I need some new ones for my honeymoon. Yes?

The last thing I coveted
A coach purse. I want a new big purse and I am spoiled with Coach.
Isn't she pretty?
I am fully aware she will never be mine though.

you start to become really thankful that they are so awesome.

What the ????

Mardi Gras Edition
As you may have heard, Mardi Gras gets a little wild.
One of the great things about Mardi Gras is that you can get away with ANYTHING.
Wear anything, yell anything, drink anything.
Things are ok there that are not socially acceptable anywhere else. Ever.

Here are a few things I saw this year that made me say
What the french??
First and foremost.
Girls walking around topless with their tatas painted.
I only saw one person do this, but dang.
Bold move.
She even took pictures with random people.
Luckily this girl had a very nice rack, otherwise it could have been offensive.
Shocking? Maybe a little at first, but oh well.
If ya got it flaunt it.

Grown people fighting over parade paraphernalia.
Beads, frisbies, stuffed animals, cups. Oh the cups.
You would think it was the last cup in Louisiana.
People take this stuff extremely seriously.

Cross dressers.
Im not here to judge.
But some of these (mostly guys) people are just plain ridiculous.
I mean I know its Mardi Gras and like i said, anything goes,
and these people take full advantage.
It mostly consists of a lot of paint.
Not a lot of clothes.
And HIGH heels.
Get it "guurl"

Drink prices.
This is a given, obviously.
You CAN find good deals, but for the most part, its an arm and a leg.
And maybe even your first born.
Can't put a price on fun though, right??
But really, you cant.
It was all worth every penny.
And I  will be back next year to spend all my pennies again!

If you missed my Mardi Gras weekend recap, you can find it below!
I MIGHT have a little Mardi Gras VLOG coming soon.
Whoo hoo!

Mardi Gras!

So last night David and I got home from Mardi Gras.
We had so much fun, of course!
We spent the entire day Sunday going to parades.
It was surprisingly cold, but after a while that didn't matter.
If ya know what I mean.

We got to to the French Market around 11am and shopped around.
Then we got some drinks, and headed  to the parades.
They pretty much came non stop, until 7 that night.
If you have never been, take my word guys.
It is SO. MUCH.FUN.
Last year was my first time to go, and I will be going every year.

Starting our day off right!

There is so much to do, and so much people watching to be had.
Endless bars, shops, restaurants, drink stands, food trucks.
You could never run out of things to do.
Just walking around is completely entertaining.
Me and David,  with his brother and his girlfriend.
Crazy costumes!

I think Mardi Gras has a reputation for being crazier than it actually is.
I mean there are TONS of people, but it's also pretty kid friendly.
Especially during the day. It is pretty G rated.
I saw a ton of people there with kids.
Our nephew was actually with us,and he is 8 years old.
We didn't stay out super late, but we were on Bourbon St
until around 10 or so and I don't think I saw anyone flashing for beads.

At the parades
JELLO!

It was such a fun weekend.
And I had the best king cake ever!!
I brought one home as a souvineer.
HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!!!
I will see you next year, Mardi Gras:)

Roadtrip preview :-)

Well, we made it here to NOLA!
It is raining cats and dogs, but that's ok:)
Tomorrow the weather is supposed to clear up,
and we will be ready for a full day of parading!
Here are some of my roadtrip pictures that pretty much consist
of pictures I took in the car during an 8 hour car ride.
AKA boredom pictures. Enjoy!
Community coffee. Better than Starbucks. Maybe kinda sorta.
 Me and my lovey
 Leopard hair pin:)
 Road trip treats
 My purple Mardi Gras nails
 Road trip snack mix
 Clear Texas skies.
 Boredom
Lady Gaga hair bow

I shall return Monday or Tuesday with a full recap of Mardi Gras!!
