Ft Worth weekend!

This Saturday Daivd and I went on a little mini getaway to Ft Worth!
We met my best friend and her boyfriend there.
We started the day off with a little wine tasting in the stockyards.
I loved this winery.
I wanted to buy every single wine I tried. I settled for two.
Erin and I tasting wine:)

Unfortunately, it was pouring rain during our entire trip.
We had planned on walking around the area visiting all the cute little shops.
So that did not happen.

After  our wine tasting we headed to Joe T Garcias.
It is an extremely popular mexican food restaurant in Ft Worth.
They have two things. Enchiladas, or fajitas.
It was delicious.
David and I at dinner!
Erin and her lovely boyfriend!!

After dinner we went to downtown Ft Worth and went to a few bars.
I made the smart decision not to take the camera out in the rain though.
We went to The Flying Saucer which has about 200 beers on tap.
We tried a few new things and then headed down the street to another bar!
It was so much fun getting to see them and I will be seeing her a lot in
the next few months for wedding festivities. YAY!!

Side note....
We went to the liqour store to get this cake flavored vodka that Erin tried.
Well they didn't have that...So we go the next best thing.
Yes this is fruit loop flavored vodka.
And it is everything you hope it would taste like.
Just like fruit loops!
We were at a loss of what you mix fruit loop flavored vodka with,
so we just got sprite zero. And it was greatness in a cup.
This brand has a ton of weird flavors and we figured why not.
So if you are a fruit loop fan go ahead and do yourself a favor and try this.

Cheers to an awesome weekend!!!

My not fun Friday

High Five Friday!!!

Happy Friday everyone:)
This post comes straight from yours truly...at work.
I work til 9 tonight and I am SO tired.
I got an awful nights sleep, so here I am blogging and sipping on this.
Cinnamon vanilla Starbucks coffee. Via the Keurig. Yum!
I prefer about a half/half ratio of creamer to coffee.
And I'm not sorry about it.

I found some pretty amazing sunglasses at the dollar spot at Target today.
The closely resemble these bad boys...
They pretty much scream " I am not practical" but hey, they were one dollar!
Holla for a dolla!

Today I went to Hobby Lobby and got some crafts to make a new wreath!
I made my first wreath for Christmas.
And this little sucker was addicting. I couldn't stop adding balls!
Nor could I stop making them. I made like 4.
My next project is a lot less....Over the top?
So expect a DIY post coming your way.
Although I am sure it won't be new to any of you. Thanks pinterest.

The ONE good thing about this Friday is that tomorrow I am get to see my BFF!!
We are having a little getaway with our men in Ft Worth.
We will be staying in Sundance Square getting into trouble I'm sure.
I have never met her boyfriend so he better be on his best behavior.
I would hate for him to fail the best friend test.
Just kidding. Only I'm really not.

So maybe I will be back Monday with lots of crazy stories to share.
Have a great weekend:-)

My makeup bag!

Lately, I have been kiind of obsessed with trying new products.
Nothing fancy, just branching out.
Last week, David took me on a little weeknight date to Target...
and bought me make up. Yes. Best date ever.
I got a bunch of new things, and here are some that I really like!

The ELF blush and bronzer combo palette.
I like this a lot! And for $3, you can't beat it.

I also got an ELF eyeliner pencil in Turquoise
It was only $1, and comes with a sharpener in the lid.
I  didn't hear about ELF until recently and I have liked most products I have gotten.
If you aren't familiar, it is make up that is sold for $1, $3, and $5 dollars.
The only thing I bought and didn't like so far was their mascara.
You can find it at Target, and I'm not sure where else.

I also got a Revlon lip butter.
It is a new product, and I really like mine.
I thought it would be more "buttery" but it is more glossy than regular lipstick.
I got this in peach something or other. I really like  it.

Maybelline eye tatoo
This is a cream eye shadow and I got it in the white looking color.
I honestly don't like the way it feels on my finger when I put it on.
I just use it under my regualr eye shadow and it makes it last longer and stick really well.

Garnier roll on concealer
I heard a lot  of other people talk about this.
It is a roll on concealer that gets rid of puffiness and dark circles.
It says is also has caffine in it. Kinda weird but whatever.
I love it.

Last but not least.
This dry shampoo
I think I already mentioned this but I had to do it again.
It is awesome. You do have to go to Ulta or Sallys for this. but it works serious MAGIC!
Go buy it if you are into dry shampoo.

What are your favorite beauty products?
aka what else do I need to go get??

A walk in the park

Since the weather has been so perfect lately,
I have taken my nephew to the park a couple of times.
This is the first season he has been park friendly aka walking.
He is still a little young to be climbing ladders and other adventerous tasks.
That is ok though, he is just in it  for the walking and people watching.
He just walked and walked and walked in the grassy fields.
Lots and lots of exploring
Baby Cade and Uncle Dave

After we let him roam free, we went to check out the jungle gym.
He was much more interested in watching the big kids play than actually playing.
We went down the BIG slide together.

And we gave the swing a try, but he likes his swing at home much better.

Eventually we headed to the baby playground and hit the jackpot on the slide.

Pure joy I tell you

We had such a fun time and he was pretty pooped out!

Love Shack BABY!

Yesterday afternoon, David and I headed over to a new gem in our town!
The Love Shack!
It is a new hot spot on our square.
We went yesterday afternoon and sat out on the patio.

The weather was seriously perfect.
We just hung out sipping  on Blue Moon.
And we ordered some seriously delicious grub.
I just had a classic cheeseburger, and the chile parmesan chips.
David got the cheeseburger, with bacon and a fried quail egg, and onion rings!
And for dessert? We split this...
A HOMEMADE chocolate chip ice cream sandwich.
Best thing ever!
This was the perfect place for a Sunday day date.
We will be going back soon, I'm sure!
Next time we will be trying one of their cocktail pitchers.
Sangria, margaritas, and mojitos. Take your pick.

Weekend FUN!

Well my weekend has been so far so good!
Friday I took a trip to the park with Cade.
He spend the night, and needless to say I think I'll wait to have kids til I'm 50.
Unfortunately, he is too cute to hold a grudge.
Agreed?

We had a wine and cheese night at home this weekend.
It was just lovely.
Baked Gouda

Peanut butter Cheerios. If you haven't tried these....DO!
Unless you hate peanut butter.

David had some things to work on outside this morning,
so I decided to man up and go sit in the cold and keep him company.
It was only 40 degrees, but to us Texans thats pretty chilly.
I had some hot chocolate with my marshmallows to keep me warm:)

It is always a sign that spring is on its way when the girl scout cookies have invaded the grocery stores!
Thin mints!
Spring has sprung!
And that means we are that much closer to May 19!

TGIF!!!

Photobucket

High five for Friday, yes?
I don't know why I am so happy to see the weekend, but I am!
We don't have big plans tonight, because David works tomorrow, AGAIN!
I am feeling a wine and cheese night at home tonight.
It is one of my favorite at home dates.

My future in-laws might be coming to Texas tomorrow.
They have been talking about coming since the new year,
so I hope they end up making the trip.
They have not met my family yet!
That is what happens when you find a husband that lives in another state.
My family is going to Louisiana in a few weeks too!
My parents, sister, brother in law, nephew, the whole gang!!
They are throwing us a family show there, and I can't wait!

On Wednesday, the weather was awesome and I took Cade out for a walk.
I took a bunch of pictures and here are a few!

Picture overload? I think NOT!
He is my little booboo.
And he told me to tell you all happy Friday!!
I am his favorite Aunt, obviously:)
