Ringing in the new year

This year for new years we went to Baton Rouge to spend it with David's family.

Saturday night we went out downtown with his brother and his brothers girlfriend.

We went and had dinner and drinks at a place called Chimes.

Its my favorite place to go in BR and i had never been to the one downtown!

Is one of those places that has about 100 beers on tap and does beer mixes. The possibilities are endless!

Next we went to a bar downtown called Happy's.
We were worried about going out because we thought everything would be packed.
We got there fairly early and they had a huge patio, which was awesome.
The weather was PERFECT and we found a table right up front. 
They had a cover band, and they were actually pretty great. Very entertaining.
They played everything from Spice Girls(UM yes, please) to Black Eyed Peas, Nelly( Hot in Hur!) and even some Grease!
We played games, danced, and toasted with champagne at midnight.
We were out of there by 12:30 or so and took a cab home. It was such a fun night.
 
The next day included lunch at his Dad's with his brother, sisters, nieces and nephews.
We chowed down on our black eyed peas and played outside with kids.
Then we headed back to Texas:)

I feel like the older I get, the faster the years fly by and I'm so excited to see what 2012 has in store!

What are you doing for NYE?

I saw this video earlier today and I thought it was super cute! Who knew that Joseph Gordon Levitt could sing? Not me! To me he will always be Cameron, from 10 Things I Hate About You.

So what is everyone going to be doing on NYE? I will be living it up in downtown Baton Rouge with the fiance, his brother and his brothers girlfriend! It is sure to be a fun time and i will post all about it!
