Here are some confessions for ya..

I send David outfit pictures. Like kind of a lot.

Is that normal or is it so 2003/myspacey?

Either way, I do it and I'm not going to quit.

And he at least pretends to like them.

My mom made me one of my favorite breakfasts today.

Because, pretty much most breakfasts are my favorite.

I like to think I'm not spoiled.

Maybe I'm just getting special treatment because I will be leaving the nest forever in 3 weeks.

Don't cry yet, Mom.

I can't stop finding things  on pinterest I want to recreate.

I saw this and just loved it.

Don't know why but I want to make it happen.

Someday, somehow.

BUT isn't the bookshelf cute?

For some reason I am all into rustic.

OK, so I am not a big fan of those hokey signs that are really popular.

But if I was, this one that I saw at Hobby Lobby would be in my kitchen.

If you DO have this in your kitchen, no offense.

I hope we can still be friends.

And lastly..

David and I had this for dinner.

Ya that's right. And it was delicious!

We were at the house assembling beds so I ordered pizza.

Obviously, I use the term "we" very  loosely.

HE was assembling beds while I supervised.

Thursday randoms

Time for a totally random post.

First off, I do realize I totally ignored Valentine's day on the ole blog.

We intentionally didn't do much.

I told David no flowers or anything.

He did leave a few roses throughout the house for me to find when I woke up.

He had to do just enough to make sure he didn't get in trouble:)

We ate dinner with my whole family.

Romantic huh? We had steaks and twice baked potatoes.

I made a coconut creme pie for dessert and it turned out great.

If I do say so myself.

He got me something I have been wanting since Christmas.

 Don't worry. I was not offended.

I have been talking about wanting this book.

I feel like there is a lot I don't know about my camera.

And I will take all of the help I can get.

I'm really excited to learn some new things.

Next on my wish list is Lightroom 3.

My mom also got me a Valentine.

She never fails.

She got me some home decor stuff from world market.

Two vibrantly colored lanterns.

Red and turquoise.

She also got me this adorable "LOVE" pillow.

The one on the left.

I guess it was technically a Valentine's pillow,

but I want it to go on our bed.

The little birds match the color of the comforter I registered for.

My sister also got my some really cute stuff for my kitchen.

Yes, cupcake measuring spoons.

They are adorable!!

OK so I think I'm accidentally making a Valentine's post.

Moving on.

Today we had beautiful weather down here in TX.

It was sunny and 72 degrees.

I took my nephew outside to play on our first warm day.

He just walked and walked and walked.

Here are some pictures from our little outing.

So I will most definitely me absent for the next 3-4 days.

David and I are leaving for Mardi Gras in the morning.

I am super excited!!

He is from Baton Rouge, and his mom lives in NO.

She lives about 5 miles from the quarter.

Last year we got engaged while in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

It is crazy to think that was a year ago!!

I plan on taking my flip cam.

I have the greatest intentions of making a Mardi Gras weekend video,

and sharing it with you guys.

I always have intentions of taking tons of pictures and videos.

Then we get super busy and distracted and I get so mad at myself.

I will try my very best though!

I will be twittering all weekend though.

MIA

Hello lovelies!

I have been totally MIA from my blog.

I know this. I suck.

I feel like I have had such a busy week and no time to blog.

So what have I been doing?

Weelllll a little bit of house hunting.

No roof over our soon to be married heads yet.

But im optimistic.

It is quite stressful though.

 Bring on the wine this weekend.

Please and thank you!!

I have also been calling my sweet fiance to tell him he better

pick up fast food after work if he wants to eat dinner.

And he promptly delivers a cheeseburger and fries.

And a chocolate milkshake.

Because he knows the way to my heart.

I have also been preparing for Valentines day.

We are so not big Valentines day people.

I'm just going to cook us a "nice" dinner at home.

We don't really do gifts. Last year we did homemade ones.

This year we put a 20 dollar limit.

These were our gifts last year.

I made the one on the left.

Well the "forever and always"sign came from a local store.

And i attached clothes pins and added the paper

and wrote things I love about David.

He made the book on the computer.

Basically the same gift idea.

Not planned.

What i AM looking forward to about this little holiday is the baking.

I love baking and this gives me an excuse to.

I will be baking cupcakes and cookies and sending them work with David.

My inspiration.

Friday randoms and confessions

Today I feel the need to talk about all things random.

Down here in Texas, we have had an extremely wimpy winter.

The past week or so the weather has been awesome.

I'm talking 60's-70's everyday.

I even wore sandals one day. In January. I felt ridiculous.

But today it is raining cats and dog.

Confession: I love it.

I'm kiiind of sad that I forgot to watch the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.

I know it will replay. Duh.

I usually set it to record on my DVR.

But I kind of deleted all my timers.

That is seriously a whole separate post though.

I started a Valentines Day craft.....4 days ago.

It is still not done. Maybe it will get finished this weekend.

In which case, I will show it to you:)

I made an impulse purchase last night on a dress at Macy's.

I don't know if it counts as impulse if you LOVE it?

It was half off. And I found a 20% off coupon.

It came to 21 dollars, and I felt like a winner.

This is the dress.

And oddly enough I just went to the Macy's website and the price went up.

Glad I bought it last night.

Did anyone else watch Greys Anatomy last night?

They did a what could have been episode.

I liked it, even though I thought I wouldn't.

Karev was hilarious. And was engaged to Meredith.

I just wanted to a post about RANDOM things that have been going on!

I have been obsessed with country music lately.

I have always listened to country music,

but lately it  is the only thing filling my recently added playlist.

My favorite? This little jam by Jake Owen.

He could get by on his looks alone.

I have been addicted to two things lately.

I have literally been eating these by  the pint.

And tea with honey. Its like dessert!!

So I regret to inform you that I have pretty much always

watched Keeping up with the Kardashians.

I mean how could you not? Its replayed at least twice a day on E.

I don't know if they got new writers or what,

but is it just me or is Scott Disick seem very likable this season?

I'm sure its just because they are so busy making Kris Humphries

look like a total dead beat, but its working for Scott.

Maybe next season  he will  be back to shoving dollar bills in peoples mouth.

So after new years, with the rest of America,

I started my wedding diet healthy lifestyle.

And so far i  have lost about 8 pounds.

I have also been walking around like this  for the past 25 days.

They say

I think I object.

And finally, this little man has discovered his built in playground at Nana's.

And as cute as that little behind is, it gets a little old.

He stays here during the day on MWF,

and I'm sure tomorrow there will be a lot of this

When he discovers the baby gate!

 

Ramblings

Hey ladies(and gents)

I hope everyone is having a lovely Friday night.

Catching up on my DVR

Lets start off with a little recap of last night.

One of my best friends had a little couples dinner party.

She made homemade lasagna, salad, and french bread.
Wine was served. The works.

After dinner we moved on to what every good dinner party needs

If you have ever played a civil game of catchphrase,

then you are hanging out with the wrong people.

There was screaming. Yelling. And arguing. It's an intense game.

And if you've never played you need to go buy this little gem.

First up on the DVR. Greys. Who watched it? Holy handkerchief.

First of all the cliff hanger they left us with was brilliant.

I was still on the edge of my seat 6 weeks later.

And it played out perfectly. Cried like a baby. How could you not?

I'm glad I stayed true to Greys through its rough patch.

I mean we watched Izzy sleep with a ghost.

Deer surgery. And the infamous Greys Anatomy musical.

Luckily, Shonda Rhimes screwed her head back on straight.

And I'm loving it!

Next up on the DVR? Jersey Shore. Don't Judge.

I am about 20 minutes in and it's off to a running start.

Those crazy guidos.

And just to leave you with something sweet.

We had perfect weather in Texas today. 70 and sunny.

I took this precious baboo out for a swing.

My nephew....out like a light.
