Hey, I'm married.

Remember that one time, when I got married?

And then I didn't post a single picture of the wedding?

Whoopsy.

I wanted to wait to get ALL of my pictures first, and I did like 2 weeks ago!

Here are some of the highlights.

Also, my wedding and reception were at my parents house in the country.

So. That is where all the pictures are taken.

Before the ceremony. We did all pictures after our first look.

The honeymoon

Our honeymoon was fabulous.

We stayed at an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana which is in the Dominican Republic.

I wrote THIS post about where were going/staying when we booked it.

We were greeted with cold towels and pina coladas upon arrival!

The room and the view were beautiful.

We had the time of our lives doing nothing but relaxing.

The pool had a swim up bar which was way too convenient.  

It was pure bliss.

The resort we stayed at was adult only, and usually felt completely deserted.
It was so nice.

At night we got to get all dressed up for nice dinners.

The food was great!

Shrimp and lobster. Yes please.

And David even cooked me dinner one night.

As you can guess,we were pretty sad to leave paradise.

Our main topic of conversation while we were there was when we could go back!

You would not want to leave this either.

We met a bunch of other couples that were on their honeymoon too.

We spent our afternoons mingling with them, drinking, and playing bingo in the pool.

We had such a blast, I can't even tell you!

I will tell you a little secret...

We were excited to come home.

To come home to our new house and just be husband and wife.

So far, it has been nothing but the best!

FRIDAY

Well we have almost made it.

We are one week away from the wedding weekend!

I could NOT be happier that it is FRIDAY!

This weekend will be busy and filled with all things wedding/moving.

It seems like the closer we get the faster the weeks fly by.

I'm sure I will find a little bit of time for some relaxation with David

Hopefully fit in one of these tonight.

To me it taste way more like a margarita on the rocks than it does beer.

My Friday could not have started out any better because.....

That's right, its official. This is actually going to happen.

We got our marriage license this morning.

It was so exciting and yes I made David take a picture in front of the courthouse.

I don't know how I got such a great guy.

One guy was literally laughing at us as he walked by because we were taking a picture.

David goes... "ya he is probably divorced". Haha.

He also made me this for dessert tonight.

Nothing says I love you like a personal sized brownie fresh out of the oven.

It is the small things.

And the final thing that made my day was this.

My wedding day (May 19) was finally on the 10 day forecast.

I am  having an outdoor wedding/reception so  this has been a major concern.

Partly cloudy with a high of 87 makes me perfectly happy.

For those of you who do not live in Texas,

it very well could have been 100 degrees on May 19 and heat was my main concern.

By 7 pm the weather that day should be pretty enjoyable if things stay the way they look.

I hope everyone has had a great week.

I seriously have no clue where mine went because I have been SO busy.

Which is also why I have had no time for blogging.

I hope to post a few times next week but I said the same about this one!

My last night as a single lady

I had the best time ever at my bachelorette party.

I can happily say that every one of my very best friends was there!

First, we went wine tasting. One of my favorite activities.

We went to three different wineries. All within walking distance of each other.

After the wine tasting we went back to the hotel for food and lingerie.

I got SO much cute stuff. My friends obviously know me well.

I loved everything I got.

I am officially ready to honeymoon now!

My sister did all of the food and decor for the lingerie shower.

She did such an awesome job!

After that, we went out on the town.

We went to a bar/club place called The Glass Cactus.

It really doesn't matter where we went, I would have had a blast with my best friends.

We danced the night away with each other and had so much fun.

You know it was a good time because I woke up Sunday in my hot pink dress.

 Success in my book.

Such a great night.

I feel so lucky to have such amazing girlfriends.

I know everyone thinks they have the best girls but I really do!

I will see you all again in 3 weeks! EEEEEK!

Is this real??

Ok boys and girls.

I am getting married ONE MONTH from today.

Holy freaking smokes.

I literally can't believe it.

We got engaged 13 and 1/2 months ago.

Where does time go? Will it slow down after I get married?

I mean  obviously I am thrilled to be getting married.

That is a given.

But I am also excited about other things.

Moving into our house.

Going on our amazing honeymoon.

I am ready for the madness to be over.

It is bitter sweet. I have loved planning this wedding.

I will be sad when it is all done.

And it will all go by in a flash, I know this.

Ultimately I can't wait to marry my best friend and start a new chapter.

4 weeks from today we will be setting up the tent for the wedding.

It will be chaotic and stressful and I hope I can take time to sit back and enjoy it.

I can't believe my big day is almost here!

A special little something...

One of my bridesmaids aka bff for 10 years made this....

Bridal shower!

Yesterday was my bridal shower!

All of my best friends came in town for the occasion.

We had a girls night Saturday night and the shower was Sunday.

A perfect weekend.

My bridal shower was beyond perfect.

My moms best friends threw it and every detail was ADORABLE!!
