Life lately via pictures

 

Hello!

Not a lot has been going on around here lately!

This weekend David and I had a perfectly LAZY weekend.

Much needed, in my opinion.

Since I have taken quite the blog break, a picture update is in order.

 

New boots my love got me for my birthday which was last Friday.

I am now 25. Eeeek.

May purchase boots here.

 My wonderful husband sent flowers,a teddy bear and balloon to me at work on my birthday.

He is the best.

 

 We are....special.

 

 I got a breakfast cookbook for my birthday with tons of good recipes.

I love making new and different things.

We made these potato rosemary pancakes with bacon and honey.

So good!

The book is called The Perfect Start to Your Day.

The aquarium and a BIG SURPRISE!

This weekend my mom and sister asked me to go with them to take Cade to the aquarium on Saturday morning bright and early, and that is just what we did!

We had a really good time and Cade loved seeing the fish!

They dropped me off at home around noon and I had a HUGE surprise waiting for me.

A surprise party!

My birthday is this Friday and David planned a big bash with all of my best friends.

I literally walked in my front door and had all my friends jump out and yell surprise.

It was the best.

He rented a huge slip and slide and margarita machine.

It was a blast and I was seriously shocked!

I don't know how he planned it all without me knowing.

Such a good husband:)

It really was the best birthday ever.

I don't know how David pulled it off, but he did.

I also have to mention that I have the best girlfriends ever:)

Most of them came from out of town and it meant so much to me.

We have all been best friends for at least ten years,

some for twenty years (CRAZY)

and it isn't very often we are all in the same place.

I love you girls!



Life lately

Hello:)
Well my fans have been on my case about my lack of blog posts.
Sorry, mother and husband.
We have been busy around here.
We have made a trip to Louisiana.
Bought a new washer and dryer.
Babysat baby Cade.
Had at home date night.
And much more.

I have about one million instagram pictures to share.

The time a blew my diet!

Well my weekend was a quick one.

David and I both worked all day Saturday.

So Saturday night, David took me out for a night on the town.

It was a good surprise.

Now, since the actual honeymoon is officially over,

I figured it was time to start eating like a civilized person again.

I would hate to gain the newlywed fifteen.

That is not a good look.

So this week we made a conscious effort to get back to a healthy diet.

Not to be confused with going on a diet.

We had lots of delicous healthy dinners....

And that all went out the window Saturday night:)

Being married means mastering the self timer.

We went to one of our favorite places, Pappadeaux!

Their food is to die for, and I have the pictures to prove it.

If you hate food pictures, run for you life.

It all started out very innocently with this amazing salad.

That just happened to be covered in bacon and bleu cheese dressing.

David went for the peppered tuna.

For dinner I had redfish covered in lobster with parmasean risotto.

It was just as good as it looks and sounds.

I also stole some of David's SIDE of onion rings.

Biggest side ever.

And here is the real kicker...

You will all be really jealous and want to hurt me.

I had had it before and I will have again.

Chocolate cake is my absolute favorite thing to eat in his world,

and this one is the best I have ever had,

And no, I did not share this. It was all mine.

I told David that if I went on that show,

"The Best Thing I Ever Ate", I would pick this.

We resumed back to normal tonight with a fabulous meal

of grilled chicken and broccoli. Whoo hoo.

I sincerely apologize for making an entire post on food.

Kind of....

FRIDAY

Well we have almost made it.

We are one week away from the wedding weekend!

I could NOT be happier that it is FRIDAY!

This weekend will be busy and filled with all things wedding/moving.

It seems like the closer we get the faster the weeks fly by.

I'm sure I will find a little bit of time for some relaxation with David

Hopefully fit in one of these tonight.

To me it taste way more like a margarita on the rocks than it does beer.

My Friday could not have started out any better because.....

That's right, its official. This is actually going to happen.

We got our marriage license this morning.

It was so exciting and yes I made David take a picture in front of the courthouse.

I don't know how I got such a great guy.

One guy was literally laughing at us as he walked by because we were taking a picture.

David goes... "ya he is probably divorced". Haha.

He also made me this for dessert tonight.

Nothing says I love you like a personal sized brownie fresh out of the oven.

It is the small things.

And the final thing that made my day was this.

My wedding day (May 19) was finally on the 10 day forecast.

I am  having an outdoor wedding/reception so  this has been a major concern.

Partly cloudy with a high of 87 makes me perfectly happy.

For those of you who do not live in Texas,

it very well could have been 100 degrees on May 19 and heat was my main concern.

By 7 pm the weather that day should be pretty enjoyable if things stay the way they look.

I hope everyone has had a great week.

I seriously have no clue where mine went because I have been SO busy.

Which is also why I have had no time for blogging.

I hope to post a few times next week but I said the same about this one!

Oh well, happy Friday and happy weekend!!

You know it's a good weekend when...

It starts out with TWO fabulous dates with your main man.

First he met me for lunch on my lunch break, which was a nice treat!

We went to a Mexican restaurant and I ordered these for lunch.

Yes, a nice plate of sopapillas for lunch. Don't mind if I do.

That night we were going to a dinner and flight over Dallas, but the flight was rained out.

Dinner was still great, though.

All ready for date night.

On our way home.

Saturday we just layed low at the house.

We hung out on the patio with our beers, and went to bed early.

Today we did some work at the house!

Our 500th trip in the past month.

Tonight we hung out with my family and grilled out.

This little baboo had fun playing in the sprinkler.

So much fun:)

He is an outside baby.

David grilled chicken and steaks for everyone.

And he had the cutest little helper:)

We had a great weekend.

Only one more until the wedding weekend!

AND my best friend will be here in TEN days for my wedding.
