Hello!

Not a lot has been going on around here lately!

This weekend David and I had a perfectly LAZY weekend.

Much needed, in my opinion.

Since I have taken quite the blog break, a picture update is in order.

 

New boots my love got me for my birthday which was last Friday.

I am now 25. Eeeek.

May purchase boots here.

I love the red zipper!

 

 Fresh cut watermelon.

 

 My wonderful husband sent flowers,a teddy bear and balloon to me at work on my birthday.

He is the best.

 

 We are....special.

 

 I got a breakfast cookbook for my birthday with tons of good recipes.

I love making new and different things.

We made these potato rosemary pancakes with bacon and honey.

So good!

The book is called The Perfect Start to Your Day.

This was our final product.

Life lately

Hello:)
Well my fans have been on my case about my lack of blog posts.
Sorry, mother and husband.
We have been busy around here.
We have made a trip to Louisiana.
Bought a new washer and dryer.
Babysat baby Cade.
Had at home date night.
And much more.

It's ok that it is 9:30 and I am finally sitting down. And blogging.

Even though I STILL have to pack for our road trip this weekend.

And be awake at 5 am. I'll be needing this.

It's ok that I bought "4th of July" outfits for me and the husband.

I tweeted about it earlier. And I have no shame.

They aren't ridiculously cheesy, just a subtle patriotic look.

At least that is what I am telling myself

It's ok that im ready for winter. Right?

It is over 100 everyday now and I just can't handle the heat.

It's ok that I went to visit my baboo instead of other "important" things.

I mean who can resist??

So going into it I was all about it.

 I expected to submit my picture and have a picture of Cameron Diaz pop up.

I mean, obviously we are twins.

Boy was I in for a rude awakening.

I submitted this picture from my bridal shower last weekend.

Lets start with the bad

...a 72% match with......

Talk about a blow to the ego.

I mean she isn't ugly. But I'm not 60 years old....

Next up with a 71% match..

Pamela Anderson. Cool.

I mean this could be a compliment.

If I were trying to look like a botoxed forehead lip injected slore.

And last but not least...

With a match of 71%....

Fergie.

Unless we are doing an ab doppelganger I'm not thrilled.

I'm pretty sure there are websites dedicated to the fact that she looks like a man.

Lastly, the only thing that kept me from hanging myself this evening.

She is still like 20 years older than me but at least she is cute.

I guess I need to get some anti aging cream,

because apparently I don't look like anyone else my age.



No good, very bad day.

I am probably going to be a total buzzkill right now.

My my entire Monday was pretty ridiculous.

You might as well chalk the day up as a loss when you get in your car

first thing in the morning and your gas light is on.

So, I head to the gas station and go about my day.

Enter lunch break.

I go to the bank to deposit some checks. No debit card.

No debit card anywhere. Awesome.

I had it 4 hours ago which means I dropped it somewhere.

And since I ddint drop it in my wallet or my car or my purse, I am left with the gas station.

Ok whatever fine. At least I was at the bank. Quick fix.

SOOO then after work I go pick up my WEDDING INVITES.

So fun and exciting.

So I meet up with mom and sister and then remember about the invites in my truck.

I run outside, grab one out of my trunk run inside and show them.

Time to go....Where are my keys??

OH in my trunk where i set them down when  I grabbed the invite.

Did I mention my car was locked?

I called our AAA service which is roadside assistance that my parents pay for every month.

I will spare you details but they were about as helpful swimsuit in a snow storm.

Like unbelievably incompetant. So after 3 hours I cancelled the whole thing.

Needless to say they got a phone call the next day.

At the end of the day I just had to laugh.

The rest of my week has been significantly better.

Bad blogger confessions

Confession... I have been a BAD blogger.

I haven't blogged all week because I literally did not have time.

We have been busy doing things for the house every night after work.

Last night we got blinds, a lawn mower, weed eater, and new locks for the doors.

Welcome to owning a home.

Tonight we bought this little gem...

Our house was supposed to come with the fridge that was in it.

But at the last minute the seller changed their mind.

It is a long story I wont bore you with. But it ended with us having to buy one.

Confession....I could NOT be more excited for this weekend.

It is my bridal shower in my hometown.

All of my best girlfriends will be here.

It is going to be such a special weekend. One of many to come!

You can definitely expect a post all about it:)

Confession...I might be skipping bunco tomorrow so I can spend time with him

I haven't gotten to see him as much lately so he is mine tomorrow night.

He pretty much trumps everything else:)

I can't wait for future sleep overs at Aunt Sissy's new house!

Tomorrow will also be the only night all week I will be able to RELAX at home.

I need that before this weekend.

My not fun Friday

High Five Friday!!!

Happy Friday everyone:)

This post comes straight from yours truly...at work.

I work til 9 tonight and I am SO tired.

I got an awful nights sleep, so here I am blogging and sipping on this.

Cinnamon vanilla Starbucks coffee. Via the Keurig. Yum!

I prefer about a half/half ratio of creamer to coffee.

And I'm not sorry about it.

I found some pretty amazing sunglasses at the dollar spot at Target today.

The closely resemble these bad boys...

They pretty much scream " I am not practical" but hey, they were one dollar!

Holla for a dolla!

Today I went to Hobby Lobby and got some crafts to make a new wreath!

I made my first wreath for Christmas.

And this little sucker was addicting. I couldn't stop adding balls!

Nor could I stop making them. I made like 4.

My next project is a lot less....Over the top?

So expect a DIY post coming your way.

Although I am sure it won't be new to any of you. Thanks pinterest.

The ONE good thing about this Friday is that tomorrow I am get to see my BFF!!

We are having a little getaway with our men in Ft Worth.

We will be staying in Sundance Square getting into trouble I'm sure.

I have never met her boyfriend so he better be on his best behavior.

I would hate for him to fail the best friend test.

Just kidding. Only I'm really not.

So maybe I will be back Monday with lots of crazy stories to share.

TGIF!!!

High five for Friday, yes?

I don't know why I am so happy to see the weekend, but I am!

We don't have big plans tonight, because David works tomorrow, AGAIN!

I am feeling a wine and cheese night at home tonight.

It is one of my favorite at home dates.

My future in-laws might be coming to Texas tomorrow.
They have been talking about coming since the new year,
so I hope they end up making the trip.
They have not met my family yet!
That is what happens when you find a husband that lives in another state.

My family is going to Louisiana in a few weeks too!
My parents, sister, brother in law, nephew, the whole gang!!
They are throwing us a family show there, and I can't wait!


On Wednesday, the weather was awesome and I took Cade out for a walk.
I took a bunch of pictures and here are a few!
